Botify Achieves SOC 2 Type 1 Certification for its Enterprise Organic Search Platform Ensuring the Highest Standards of Data Privacy and Security

NEW YORK and PARIS, December 8, 2021 - Botify, the leading enterprise software company for performance-driven organic search, announced it has successfully attained Service Organization Control (SOC) 2 Type 1 compliance for its enterprise software platform. 

SOC 2 Type 1 is a widely recognized global standard for secure data handling developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Botify voluntarily participated in the audit to ensure it is providing the highest standards of data privacy and security for its customers.

While it’s not industry-standard for companies in organic search to pursue SOC 2 compliance, Botify is pioneering a new wave of innovation in the space leading to the need for increased data privacy standards. Because Botify’s platform approach to organic search incorporates not only publicly available 3rd party data, but also proprietary first party logs and data — Botify found it integral to ensure its data privacy practices remain best in class.

This SOC 2 Type 1 examination was conducted by an independent CPA firm, Schellman, which has extensive experience handling SOC 2 audits to streamline and standardize the entire process. The firm evaluated Botify to verify the best practices and proper controls are in place to ensure industry-leading confidentiality and security for all customer data. Botify will continue leading privacy and security standards across organic search and plans to attain SOC 2 Type 2 in 2022.
